With the end of the year around the corner many emotions come into play. Whether it's holiday cheer, hustle and bustle or perhaps mere feelings of confusion and sadness, there is a lot at stake. The holidays mean a lot of different things for different people. Whether its the most wonderful time of the year for you or perhaps the hardest. Self care is something around the holiday season that often gets put on the back burner. This workshop is for everyone.
Ananda means "bliss" in sanskrit. In this workshop we will explore the authenticity of taking care of our home base-ourselves. We will work with a base of vinyasa, with some long deep strategic holds, while concluding with restorative. We will aim to harmonize the mind, body and spirit all together. Combining all of these styles you will leave deeply stretched, rooted to your inner being, emotionally grounded and you'll have a great savasana.
In order to give back to the community during the holiday season, a portion of this class registration fee will go to benefit Christmas is for Kids. Manda will also have a box where canned goods and non-perishable items can be donated to the Plainville Food Pantry.
Manda, E-RYT 200, was an aspiring actress, dancer, and dreamer for most of her life, it wasn't until she found her way to the "mat" that she truly knew what it was like to embrace a fulfilled feeling. She has taught all over the board from down south in Savannah, GA where she did her 200 hour training, and now back up here in New England. Manda has taught classes to adults, youth, as well as special populations in hospitals, prisons, and general care. Before she had her son just 20 months ago, she was teaching 22 classes a week in a variety of locations. Then that tiny little joy in her life gave her time to take a step back. Manda believes once you find that inner connection you realize that your practice evolves into a lifestyle~your own manifesto. She teaches a vinyasa based practice. Her classes are spunky, diverse and, most importantly they will cater to students of all levels. She currently offers classes at the YMCA, as well as workshops throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
