Description

Hi friends!

We have a most amazing Kaleidoscope evening planned for Sat March 10th!

We will begin with Beethoven’s piano trio #3 and Immortal Beloved Letters, read during the magnificent slow movement, continue with an operatic and pop performance by a very talented young singer, a dramatic baritone who is also a West Coast Swing and Hustle Champion (how do people manage to have all this in one body?), then a jazz and folk vocal and ukulele duo, followed by ultra romantic period cello-piano pieces by Schumann...

Wait! There is more!

A Stage reading of Animal Farm ch 1 that begins with a whimsical Debussy violin/piano introduction and then explodes into Clementine/La Cucaracha mayhem sung by guest Angel Choir ensemble with audience participation.

The end? Nope!

A finale of a Scottish tune by Percy Grainger performed by our Kaleidoscope chamber ensemble, some wearing Scottish hats...

Is there intermission? Of course!

Sandwiches and cookies and refreshments.

...Meet the artists - but only long enough to fuel yourself for An Invitation to Dance.

We will do a quick demonstration of Swing Basics to get your feet moving - and then you can partner up or dance free style to Swing House DJ Laurentina.

You can do a number with one of the Kaleidoscope lead dancers to get going on the dance floor and then hop around the room and prance to your hearts’ content with anyone else!

Wear comfortable shoes, that’s all I can say.
