Event description
Prepare for the presidential primary and NH state races in 2020; learn how to engage candidates effectively.

About this Event

With the presidential primary and important state races coming up in 2020, we are offering training to help you engage candidates effectively and get answers to tough, important questions about the climate crisis and other issues.

New Hampshire has the unique privilege of holding the First In The Nation presidential primary, #FITN -- second to the caucuses in Iowa. The 2020 NH presidential primary is almost 100 days away -- and we still have time to join the conversation with the candidates about their environmental platforms. Voters are tuning into the campaigns and we have an opportunity to make a big difference.

We in New Hampshire have a substantial impact on the campaigns because voting is not restricted by party and there is same day voting, allowing voters to register and vote on election day. This gives a clear snapshot of how undeclared voters, Democrats, and Republicans are thinking about the candidates and the future.

If you want to help build a stronger sense of hope for our future and lean into the excitement of the political process... Join the NH 2020 Presidential/State Candidate Engagement Training.

The Upper Valley Group of the Sierra Club is pleased to offer this training, in partnership with the Upper Valley Democrats and… Your trainers will be Arnie Alpert of the American Friends Service Committee and Olivia Zink of Open Democracy.

Sign up today to attend the training. Candidates are campaigning around the state and we need you to be where they are, asking the important questions.

Thanks for all you do for the environment, your communities, and New Hampshire.
