This 4 hour training will delve into the complex relationship between HIV and domestic violence, including how DV perpetuates higher incidence of HIV, and conversely how HIV status uniquely impacts domestic violence. Being HIV+ presents unique challenges with regards to healthcare, isolation, stigmatization, employment and sexuality, which will be discussed in detail during the training. Participants will also be able to describe the basics of HIV disease and transmission, as well as general information about sexual health and STI'. The training will provide participants with resources for HIV specific services in the state of Arizona; as well as provide participants with tips to provide culturally-specific care to HIV+ individuals.
Registration, Cancellation and Payment: Registration is required for the training.

Arizona Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence
Since 1980, we've lead the anti-domestic violence movement in Arizona and provided key services aimed at eliminating abuse. In 2013, the coalition became the designated dual coalition in Arizona to address both sexual and domestic violence becoming the Arizona Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence. Our mission is to end sexual and domestic violence in Arizona by dismantling oppression and promoting equity among all people.
