The Debating for Democracy (D4D) ™ workshop D4D on the Road is a training designed to provide novice and seasoned political activists with the tools and tactics they need to get their message across to policy makers, community leaders, and the public. We empower participants to effectively work within the democratic process to address pressing social, civic, and economic issues. Participants will learn organizing and advocacy strategies, practice effective messaging, and discover ways to mobilize allies in order to make positive social change.
We are excited to be working with Wellstone Action for the 2015-2016 D4D on the Road series. Wellstone is one of the leading providers of trainings for college students.
The trainers, John Gilbert ,Naomi Long and Jessica Pierce, have extensive experience leading innovative and empowering civic engagement workshops.
Through these non-partisan workshops, Project Pericles has reached more than 3,000 students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members on campuses over the past seven years. This year, with 10 workshops across the country, we will reach hundreds of participants from more than 20 college and university campuses.
Project Pericles appreciates the generous support of the Spencer Foundation and the Eugene M. Lang Foundation.
