The Harlem Jazz & Dance Culture Film Festival will be featuring Authentic Black Jazz Dances and Harlem History!
FRIDAY NITE: NOV. 6th - 9pm Tonight's theme includes The Big Apple, Shag and The Lindy Hop! See Harlem Dance Icons, Influences and as you visit Harlem culture of the times and learn why this culture is so important
SATURDAY: NOV. 7th - 4pm The Harlem Renaissance: Harlem Culture and Harlem's Famous Dance! Harlem in the 30's, The Lindy Hop and the Savoy Ballroom History makers... and a Feature Film highlighting Harlem's famed nightlife
SUNDAY: NOV. 8th - 4pm Keepers of the Flame: Mama Lu to the rescue! The Mama Lu Parks Dancers along with Sonny Allen and his Rockets keep Harlem's dance of the Lindy Hop alive in their own way - when many claimed (even to this day) "the dance is/was dead". Smalls Paradise History included and rare dance footage/video
