Join me at The Idaho Botanical Garden as we immerse in the natural world and discover a new way to be in nature. Through this Autumn Immersion Series, over a period of one month, we'll connect through our senses in a new way with the natural world as we experience the intricate seasonal changes that come with the passing of each day, as the land and it's beings leave the summer warmth and prepare for winter. In this practice of nature immersion, called Forest Bathing, which translates from Shinrin Yoku, we'll let go of stress, slow way down, unplug and awaken our senses as we become fully present and connect with The More Than Human World, ourselves and others. You will be guided through a series of sensory connection "invitations" to practice Forest Bathing (bathing in the essence of the forest) and a new level of nature embodiment. We will complete our experience with a wild tea ceremony, tasting locally foraged tea.

Please bring what you need to stay comfortable- water, hat, sunglasses, a small beach towel or sitting pad and small daypack to hold your things. Clothing layers are very important to stay comfortable in all temperatures. (we move very slowly and do not work up body heat) It may be very cold early in the morning so wear warm layers; hat and gloves if needed. For your safety and comfort, close-toed shoes w/ good traction are recommended.

Includes tea and snack; some sit-pads are available.

Fees to The Botanical Garden are included.

Unplug • Relax • Renew • Slow Down

"Forest Bathing" (translated from "Shinrin-Yoku," an established public health practice in Japan) is a growing global wellness movement backed by 30 years of scientific research on the physical and psychological benefits of immersing yourself in nature.
