Event description

Description

Out of an abundance of caution related to COVID-19, the decision has been made to suspend the 2020 AgMagic at LSU on April 20 -27, 2020. While our goal was to provide an enriched educational experience in agriculture, the safety and well-being of our youth, teachers, and staff is more important.

We look forward to hosting AgMagic in the future. For additional information please visit https://www.lsuagcenter.com/topics/kids_teens/projects/agriculture_awareness/agmagic.

About AgMagic

Mark your calendars and join us at AgMagic for this one-of-a-kind event at the John M. Parker Coliseum (located on Highland Road near the south gates of LSU).

Do you think food, clothing, lumber and other products only come from a store? Come to AgMagic and see and learn where your food and fiber really comes from! The LSU AgCenter's Parker Coliseum will be transformed this spring to show "AgMagic", which will take children and adults through a journey of Louisiana agriculture and economically beneficial commodities they use every day.

The AgMagic experience will be an interactive, visually stimulating environment that will link food and fiber products we use every day to the forests, field crops and livestock produced by Louisiana farmers, ranchers and forest landowners. Featured crops will be displayed in various stages of development, and the importance of interaction between agriculture, the environment, and society at large will be highlighted.

AgMagic is located in the John M. Parker Coliseum on LSU's campus.

Attention Kindergarten and Elementary School Classroom Teachers: This year, Agricultural Awareness lessons and worksheets are available to your classroom to introduce and reinforce the concepts shared during the interactive AgMagic experience. If you are interested in receiving these lessons, please make sure to mark YES on your order form when asked.

AgMagic is a free event!
