This mindfulness-based stress reduction MBSR group is an 6-week group program that provides an introduction to a number of mindfulness meditation practices, including sitting meditation and various movement practices (ex. gentle stretching) as a way to manage stress.
The program involves a one-time orientation phone call and weekly 2.5-hour group meetings (Mondays, April 6-May 11 2020,1:30pm-4:00pm), one 6-hour weekend retreat (Saturday May 9 2020, 11am-5pm) and committing to daily 30-45 min home practice sessions for the duration of the course.
This program is led by qualified MBSR instructor(s), who have been certified through the Centre for Mindfulness Studies/ University of Toronto and may be covered by extended health insurance. Direct billing is offered for Green Shield members.
