About this event

This program will be postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic. Updates will be shared as soon as they become available.

This mindfulness-based stress reduction MBSR group is an 6-week group program that provides an introduction to a number of mindfulness meditation practices, including sitting meditation and various movement practices (ex. gentle stretching) as a way to manage stress.

The program involves a one-time orientation phone call and weekly 2.5-hour group meetings (Mondays, April 6-May 11 2020,1:30pm-4:00pm), one 6-hour weekend retreat (Saturday May 9 2020, 11am-5pm) and committing to daily 30-45 min home practice sessions for the duration of the course.

This program is led by qualified MBSR instructor(s), who have been certified through the Centre for Mindfulness Studies/ University of Toronto and may be covered by extended health insurance. Direct billing is offered for Green Shield members.

Please note there is a $50 discount available for students/low income folks. Please email backtothebreath@hotmail.com for discount code. In addition, 2 fully subsidized spots are available per group (waitlist). Please email backtothebreath@hotmail.com to be added to the waiting list for a free spot in the program.
