Our 36th Annual Regenerative Medicine Conference will occur at the beautiful Delta Hotels by Marriott Ottawa, in the heart of the City Centre, from Friday November 18 to Saturday November 19, 2022.

This event will bring together experienced, evidence led presenters who will share their expertise about comprehensive treatments to manage chronic headaches, whiplash, and chronic shoulder, elbow and wrist pain. We will also explore new and innovative treatment modalities including Prolotherapy, Platelet-rich Plasma, Perineural Injections, Nerve Hydrodissection, Ultrasound and Botox.

1.  What does my registration to the CAOM Conference include?

Your registration includes all of the conference activities and meals on Friday and Saturday, including our celebratory dinner on Saturday evening. Please feel free to purchase a ticket for your guest to attend the dinner as well. A cash bar will be available.

We are offing varying ticket types for members, non members, medical learners/residents, and one day tickets. If you are not a CAOM Member, now is your chance to become one and take advantage of all the benefits it offers.

Conference registrations must be purchased in advance and will not be accepted on site. 

2. Will there be any continuing professional development workshops offered on Thursday November 17th that I can register for?

Yes!  We have established TWO pre conference workshops. Please review the details here!

WORKSHOP ONE → Lyftogt Perineural Injection Treatment (PIT)* 0800-1600h

Join Dr. David Bowler and his team for a full day of instruction.

As a result of attending this activity participants will be able to confidently identify the sites of nerve constriction injuries and administer perineural injections to these sites, in order to alleviate neurogenic musculoskeletal pain.

*This ticket is not included in your conference registration. Tickets for this can be purchased along with your conference tickets.

WORKSHOP TWO → Sports Medicine Ultrasound Canada-Level 1 and Level 2* 0930-1700h

Join Dr. Frank Johnson and his team for a full day of instruction.

SMUC has partnered with CAOM to bring you ULTRA-HIGH YIELD ultrasound scanning training for injections. Over the course of this 1-day scanning workshop, you'll learn to scan, scan and scan some more. Injecting is great, but you have to be able to find your target before you can inject it!

2 Streams are available → Beginner and Advanced

We want you to scan, scan, and scan some more so you are really good at these scans so you can buy an ultrasound machine and start practicing these in your clinic.

*Please note this is not a prolotherapy training workshop. We will teach you how to scan to perform a classic cortisone, PRP or viscosupplementation injection. You will scan each other - but no injections will be practiced and no cadaver lab is included.*

Registration Fee: $1250.00 includes a $250 voucher off his courses valid for 18 months from the workshop date.

3. Where can I access updated information about the conference? Is there a contact person?

All information related to the conference will be located on the CAOM website. If you require additional support, please see the Event Manager who will be visible at all times. As well, all members of the Conference Planning Committee will be onsite to provide assistance. 

In the coming weeks and right up to the event, emails containing further logistics will be circulated to you.

4. How do I book accommodation at the Delta Marriott?

Please reserve your accommodation by Friday October 14, 2022 at 1700h EST to take advantage of our conference rates within our secured block of rooms at the hotel by either following this link to book or by calling the Marriott Reservations Desk at 1-613-237-3600. Rooms are LIMITED so please do not delay!

Please identify yourself as attending the CAOM Conference to qualify. Service fees and taxes will be added accordingly.

5.  How long of a drive is it from the airport to the venue? What amenities are near?

The hotel is centrally located and approximately a 15 minute drive from the Ottawa International Airport pending traffic. If you wish to take the train or bus, please visit the Moovit App to give you directions here. The Parliament Building is a 5 minute walk away along with shops and restaurants. The hotel has a 24 hour business centre, fitness area along a Tim Horton's in the lower lobby.

6. Where can I park my car? Is there a fee?

Self parking is $25 for a weekday. Valet parking is $35 per day with in/out privileges.

7. Where do I go to pick up my conference packet and check in for the conference?

On Friday morning, please proceed to Ballroom B and C where you will encounter a registration desk. All participants will need to sign in, retrieve their conference packet and wear their lanyard at all times. The registration desk will be open at 0700h. If you will be arriving later in the day, registration packets will be available to you at the same location.

8. I have a dietary restriction. Who do I tell?

You will be asked this question as part of the registration form. This information will be relayed to the venue by the Event Manager.

9. Will the conference presentations be available to me?

We will provide them to you from willing presenters after the event.

10. What is the dress code for the conference? and for the Saturday evening dinner?

To maintain your comfort, please dress in layered clothing as we may encounter fluctuating temperatures in such a large area. We do not mind at all if you need to change your position and stand or stretch throughout the day.

The Saturday evening dinner is a wonderful opportunity to engage with your colleagues in a festive environment at the conclusion of a very productive weekend.  We request all participants dress in semi-formal. No jeans or casual wear please.

11. Can my spouse or a guest attend the dinner with me?

 Absolutely! There is an opportunity to purchase a ticket for your guest.

12. When will I get my certificate of attendance?

Certificates of attendance will be provided once you have submitted your completed evaluation form to the Event Manager at the end of the conference day on Saturday afternoon.

13. There has been a change of plans… there a refund period?

Yes! Your registration amount minus the fee Eventbrite applied to each ticket will be refunded to you up to 30 days in advance which is Friday October 21 at 2359hEST. No refunds will be offered after this date.  Please allow 7-10 business days to process your refund.

14. Is my ticket transferable?

It is.  Please email the Event Manager to coordinate this and modify the ticket information to the new participant.
