Description

Uprooting systemic racism and speaking out against the forces of oppression and suppression is challenging work. Let’s roll up our sleeves and talk about solutions, and change the narrative of how we relate to those perceived as "other." Then let's get to work.

Session I: November 29, 2017 Outline the Problem

Session II: December 6, 2017 Lean in and Tackle Solutions*

Featuring: Howard Simon, ACLU; Dr. Tameka Bradley Hobbs, FAMU and South Florida People of Color; Adonia Simpson, Americans for Immigrant Justice; and Rueben Roberts, NAACP

Moderated by Saif Ishoof, Vice President FIU Office of Engagement
