Foster and Adoptive children will have hard questions about their story. It is crucial that we are able to help them process their story.
About this event
As parents of children with trauma, we might find it hard to talk to our children about their difficult story. We might find ourselves wondering if we will retraumatize them or hurt them by talking about it. The truth is, many times, they are already thinking about their story and we must create a safe space to allow them to process it. In this session, we will learn tips for telling our children the truth about their history.
This training will be held virtually and you will receive the link to join the call once you register. The trainer and facilitator has been there and understands how difficult it could be to parent a child who has experienced trauma.
Foster parents will receive a certificate of attendance for continuing education credits.
