Join Campmor, Salomon, and Suunto as we partner with the Appalachian Mountain Club for a 5 mile day-hike!

About the Hike:

Starting from the Silvermine Ski Area Parking Lot on 7 Lakes Drive, we’ll head onto the the yellow-marked Menomine trail with Lake Nawahunta on our left. After 1.1 miles, we will reach the junction of the Long Path and turn right. We will pass Stockbridge Shelter where nearby is a viewpoint. After about 2 miles on the LP, we turn right onto the Nawahunta Fire Road. This will be a relatively easy hike back to the trailhead. We will pass the area of Lewis Mine on our left and some swampland on our right. The overall mileage is 5 miles and is considered a moderate hike.

How to Get There:

You can choose to be on the Van that Salomon is providing or meet us at the Silvermine Lake Parking Area

Salomon will be providing a complimentary van from Campmor to the trailhead for those who want transportation. The van can accommodate 22 people. If you choose to register and provide your own transportation, please pick that option when you RSVP. We will e-mail the directions. For those traveling with Campmor, we'll meet at the store at 7:45AM and return in the afternoon. Times may change.

What to Bring:

Footwear - Salomon will have demo hiking boots and shoes to wear for the hike. We will send an email to all participants prior to the hike for you to reserve a pair!

Tech - Suunto will provide some demo watches for people to test out on the hike

Apparel + Accessories - Comfortable + Lightweight clothing & layers - Please check the weather leading up to the hike. Pack layers for the bus and if it gets chilly/warm.

Food - we will provide some light snacks/bars and some water. Please pack ample water and lunch. Stay tuned for an info sheet we'll send out a few days prior to the hike.

Clif Bar will be providing some bars for the hike.
Wigwam will be giving away socks - while supplies last.
Campmor will be having a raffle at the end of the event.
Leki will be providing demo poles to us for the day.
