Camp Wakiya Healing Retreat

Camp Wakiya Healing Retreat will be hosted by several enrolled Ogala Lakota tribal members in honor of the late Wauneta Lonewolf who was a world reknowned motivational speaker and healer. Wauneta Lonewolf Lakota name "Wakiya Luta Win- Red Thunder Woman" before her transition of cancer always wanted to create a healing space in her home of Pine Ridge reservation. So her daughter and sister and family in collabortion with Hip Hop 4 Foundation will host the 1st Annual Camp Wakiya Healing Retreat in Pine Ridge, South Dakota.

July 18-21st will be 4 days of relaxation, detoxing and learning traditional living and culture from Lakota people. From lodging in plush cabins to staying overnight in a traditional tipi in the prairie of the Badlands and Black Hills. You will experience hiking and water falls as well as detoxing the traditional way of purifcation. We will be your tour guide to see the historic sites of Wounded Knee, the badlands, the Ogala Lakota Musuem, and The Crazy Horse monument.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

18 and older is required and if you do bring anyone younger than 18 a parental guardian or approved chapereone must accompany.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Roundtrip Travel to Rapid City, South Dakota is not included in camp registration. Local transportation will be included.

What can I bring into the event?

Once you pay for Camp registration we will email you a list to bring.

What's the refund policy?

Unforunately because we are employing local tribal members and services there is no refunds.

Can I update my registration information?

Yes

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

You can transer your registration to someone you know or if you would like to donate to someone that can't afford one.
