Our program will be offered this school year at Mary Scroggs Elementary School Thursdays from 2:45-3:45. Throughout Spring 2017, camp will run for 19 weeks. Camp will begin January 12 and end May 25.
Camp TechTerra held during fall, spring, and summer sessions, is a STEM camp that offers programs for elementary students to explore Coding, Robotics, 3D Printing, and Maker Education all in a hands-on learning environment.
Camp TechTerra helps students explore their world through science, technology, engineering, math and the arts, honing students’ creativity and developing competence and confidence. Taught by seasoned and enthusiastic teachers, the curriculum offers opportunities for students to:
Learn to code using web-based and app-based programs
Program robots and microcontrollers, learning to simulate, estimate and model
Learn to take photographs and videos using digital tools to create Digital Stories
Produce original creations with 3D Printing
Discover, use and create with augmented and virtual reality
Work in the Make it-Take it Station, imagining, designing and creating
