Join your Camp Tawonga community on Sunday, October 2 from 3pm-5pm for our annual Erev Rosh Hashanah Celebration! This year, we will gather on the beautiful Marin coast at McNears Beach for an inspiring outdoor service and celebration.
All are welcome! This is a family-friendly service full of Tawonga spirit, learning, love and music.
We are so thrilled to be expecting an even larger turnout than last year. Accordingly, we highly encourage carpooling.
We will be led by Tawonga's former Executive Director Deborah Newbrun, Torah teacher Sue Reinhold and song leader Isaac Zones, along with Camp Director Becca Meyer and song leader Maya Abramson.
SEPARATE KID-FRIENDLY SERVICE
Children will have the option of participating in the main event (which is like being at Camp for a Saturday morning Torah service) or of joining a more kid-focused program led by Tawonga staff. There will be something fun, meaningful and spiritually uplifting for every member of the family, including our community shofar blowing!
WHAT TO BRING
- Picnic blanket and lawn chairs
- Food and drink (we will supply apples and honey for a sweet New Year!)
- Comfortable clothes and shoes (including layers just in case)
- Shofar if you or your kids want to join our annual "blast off"
Join the Facebook event to see who's joining and to arrange rides. Note that your RSVP on Facebook does not reserve your ticket -- be sure to purchase tickets on this Eventbrite page.
There is ample free parking at Mcnears Beach. We encourage carpooling.
