Description

Engine's Makers Camp: Summer Edition invites curious, aspiring young artists, designers, engineers, and scientists ages 7-11 to think, explore, and create outside the box. Our maker education emphasizes the act of hands-on experimentation; thinking, tinkering, learning how and why things work through a series of fun and creative projects that promote innovation and creativity. Engine’s S.T.E.A.M. initiative combines science, technology, engineering, art, and math into one balanced week of activities to inspire a well-rounded maker.

This April Vacation program will include projects in urban foraging and outdoor exploration, 3d printing and fabrication, engineering challenges, and making your own paint! More details about each day below.

Campers are responsible for bringing lunch and snacks, plus clothing suitable for outdoor activities.

Cost: Engine offers Pay-What-You-Can for all students, also known as sliding-scale, with families assessing their own need and paying what they can afford. The range for this camp is $25-250.

Only you know what works for your budget. For your reference, suggested fee categories cover:
•$25 = cost of materials
•$100 = materials & contributes to instruction
•$175 = materials & instructor time
•$225 = actual per-person cost
•$250 = actual cost of camp + $25 contribution to Engine’s education scholarship fund*
*These contributions offset program fees and allow us to sustain sliding-scale pricing.
