Event description

This summer we are are excited to offer a week long summer day camp right in the heart of New York City!

Calling all kids ready to stretch out with yoga, relax into meditation, roll up their sleeves for snack creation, get sweaty with sports, rock out with music, & get messy in the art studio. Oh yeah, and don’t forget the talent show! Remember, it’s cool to be yourself :)

In addition to our specialized activities, campers will participate in our core summer camp elements:

YOGA + MEDITATION – We use meditation, yoga & breath to develop body awareness & manage stress. Yoga & meditation build concentration, increase confidence, & are easy practices to continue at home. They help us learn to be more compassionate, focused, self aware, & can calm us down when we are experiencing difficult emotions. Taught by some of best meditation and yoga instructors in NYC.

MOVEMENT + DANCE Time to get your groove on. Taught by pros, all classes include a warm up and proper stretching followed by a short step combination and dance games. Dancing develops coordination, musicality, and strength.

COOL FIT KIDS- This class consist of awesome games, fun challenges, yoga, movement, exercise and more! Students will master form and technique while using mindfulness to find flow in sports and in life.

● VISUAL ARTS— Students will explore and experiment with different creative techniques and media. They will learn how to create works of art using many different materials and supplies. Students will use their imaginations and creativity while collaborating to create a community mural

MUSIC- Campers will learn different vocal warm ups to strengthen their vocal cords and stamina as well as learn songs of different languages. Campers will learn about a variety of instruments, especially those used during meditation! They will have the chance to play, jam, and enjoy the sounds from instruments like singing bowls, chimes, drums, & many more.

● COOKING + GARDENING- These classes will educate the hearts, minds, and eating habits of young New Yorkers through hands-on gardening and cooking activities. By the end of the session, students will be able to understand the seed-to-table process and grow their own plants to eat at home. Some topics will include: plant parts, soil/worms, nutrition, and more.

Please send your child with a sufficient lunch, and make sure your child doesn't arrive at camp hungry. Children expend a lot of energy at camp so please be sure your child eats breakfast.

Drinking sweetened beverages in the morning gives children a false sense of hunger satisfaction and they become tired and hungry before lunch time.

Campers may want to bring a long sleeve t-shirt or sweatshirt if they are sensitive to the cold air as the facility is air-conditioned

Cell phones and video games are not allowed at camp and must be kept in backpacks throughout the day. To avoid the temptation and possible loss, it’s better to leave them at home.
