**The Industry Forum is open to transitioning military, veterans & reservists; Hiring Event is open to military spouses as well as military/veterans.
This event is intended to educate transitioning service members about career paths in information technology, technical and engineering fields and prepare them for the growing number of jobs that are available in these industry sectors.
Panelists will discuss the career opportunities and demand occupations, available programs for training, apprenticeships, and internships, and transition success stories will be shared by guest keynote speakers. These participating SMEs will offer answers to specific questions that may arise from military members looking to effectively translate their military occupational skills and experience to civilian occupations in the Technology/Technical/Engineering Industry.
The event will host a luncheon sponsored by Microsoft, and conclude with an industry hiring event for employers and training providers with career opportunities in the featured industries. Microsoft will hold a workshop to overview their training programs from 1300-1400 in the Compass Room following lunch.
Job seekers are encouraged to seek resume and interviewing assistance as well as how to prepare for a job fair prior to the event by contacting the Career Center at 725-4199 to register for workshops and/or appointments.
