Our trek will take us to Iconica Social Club for a cold-pressed juice tasting, Pulaski Park for a mindfulness photography workshop, Paul & Elizabeth's for lunch, and Yoga Sanctuary for yoga and a group circle. There's a detailed description of each stop below. All campers will receive a camp t-shirt to wear the day of the event and a special souvenir from the mindful photography workshop.

Save $25 with our early-bird price of $125. The cost goes up Tuesday, March 5!

1. Cold-pressed juice tasting at Iconica Social Club

We'll jumpstart our day with a private juice flight at the fabulous Iconica Social Club in downtown Northampton. Their own Minim Juicery utilizes cold-pressing techniques that ensure their uniquely delicious juices are packed with enzymes and nutrients. Coffee will be provided, slowbar style, for those of you who need an extra jolt. Iconica serves coffee from multiple roasters at any one time, and their slowbar is an experience in itself. To help us prepare for the next activity, we'll also enjoy some light energy bites.

2. Mindful Photography workshop at Pulaski Park with documentary photographer Amy Thompson Avishai

In this workshop we'll discover the ways that mindfulness and photography overlap. We will use something readily available to us at all timesthe smartphonebut use in a completely different way than most of us are used to. We'll talk about different elements that make a compelling photograph and how the qualities that we bring to photographingsuch as openness, connection, awareneess, noticingare also inherent in mindfulness. We'll practice techniques to help slow down and tune in with—and without—our cameras, seeing more deeply, and exploring how we relate to our surroundings and to ourselves. Bring a smartphone (or other camera) and have it fully charged and ready to go.

Amy Thompson Avishai has lived in Morocco, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Belgium and has documented others' stories all over the world. She has taught photography at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Griffin Museum of Photography and Endicott College. Her work has appeared in The News York Times, National Geographic, and The Women's Review of Books and she has received numerous national and international awards. Her sensitive portrayals of people living very different lives around the world affirm our interconnectedness and universal humanity.

3. Lunch at the inspiring Paul & Elizabeth's

Paul & Elizabeth's is known for using local ingredients and bringing fresh, seasonal vegetables to the forefront at their location in Thornes Marketplace. We'll chat and nourish our bodies in a beautiful, airy setting that has been Northampton mainstay since 1978.

4. Yoga overlooking downtown Northampton at Yoga Sanctuarty with Baptiste Institute Instructor Sarah Durr

Yoga will be a moderate vinyasa flow, centered on awakening the mind/body connection. Opening and grounding postures will aim to foster vulnerability and interconnection during the group circle following class.

Sarah Durr is a storyteller. Through the written word, yoga, and photography, Sarah's passion is to enable herself and others to be authentically heard. She teaches yoga from an empathetic core, encouraging students to explore their personal edge while fostering self-acceptance. Sarah believes the holistic benefits of yoga can empower an individual to be a light in the world—and this kind of empowered living should be available to everyone. She is a strong believer, and practioner, of living in the present moment and holds space for others to do the same.

5. Show Your Glow group circle at Yoga Sanctuary with Camp Glow It Up's Katie Lipsmeyer

We'll bring all the elements from our day together in this reflective, soul-searching discussion. At camp, we treat the circle as a sacred space with a common purpose. As equals, we are able to voice the truest versions of ourselves without fear of judgement, and we support each other in our triumphs and vulnerabilities.

Learn more about Katie in the organizer description below, or email her at info@campglowitup.com to chat.
