FAQs

How can I order a camp t-shirt?

Campers can purchase a t-shirt for $10-$12 as the complete the registration process for their camp session. You can also purchase a Camp Mintahama patch ($3.00) available only to those who camp onsite!

What should I pack for camp?

Packing lists and complete instructions for what is needed for each camp will be emailed by July 1, 2017.  Items that should be left at home include: electronics, food and snacks (we have plenty, and food in cabins attracts unwanted night visits by critters); aerosol cans (hairspray, sunscreen, bug spray); open toe and open back sandals (flip flops are only worn in the shower).

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Friends of Camp Mintahama

Friends of Camp MIntahama is a volunteer group working to sustain the property and offer events for Girl Scouts and the community. FCM formed in 2012, when Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland recommended the sale of the property. Since then, volunteers have restored and improved nearly every building on the 180-acre camp south of Joplin in Southwest Missouri. The camp has been opened to use by the community, and innovative programs in tune with today's youth are continuously offered. For additional information about our efforts, visit the Camp Minthama Facebbok page.
