Camp Franklin: Visiting Miners Hall Museum might cause you to wonder, “what was it like for a young immigrant to leave his home and travel to Crawford County Kansas to work in the coalmines”. Perhaps you wonder why so many immigrants were involved with bootlegging or the connection between the coalmines and the beginning of Mt. Carmel hospital. These stories along with that of a miner’s wife, coal miner and company store owner will be presented on the grounds of Miners Hall Museum for A Night at Camp Franklin. Tickets are $5/Adult and children over 12.

Actors will portray these roles and relay stories of actual immigrants to give a real-life glimpse of what our ancestors did when they came to America. Inside the museum a variety of refreshments will be available.

NOTE: The Wine Walk is held at Franklin Community Park (one block north of Miners Hall Museum). Camp Franklin is held on the museum grounds.
