This is a four part series from 9:30 - 2:00 on Wednesday, June 19, Friday June 21, Wednesday June 26 and Friday, June 28. The cost is $5 per session. Optional make-and-take projects on session 2, worm bin and session 4, rain barrel. The cost of worm bin is $10 and the rain barrel is $40 plus $5 class fee. Topics for each session are below. You do not have to participate in the make-and-take portion of the program, you may just observe that portion. You also do not have to attend all four sessions.
Session 1 - Wednesday, June 19 - What is a Florida Friendly Yard, Native Plants, Landscape Design for the Florida Homeowner Part I
Session 2 - Friday, June 21 - Edible Landscape, Herbs in Small Spaces, Invasive Plants, The Value of Trees and Compost and Vermicompost (Optional worm bin additional $10). Deadline to order 6/14/13.
Session 3 - Wednesday, June 26 - Landscape Design Part 2, Color in the Landscape, Attracting Wildlife, Passalong Plants.
Session 4 - Friday, June 28 - Rain Gardens, Reduce the Runoff, Check-up time for your Irrigation System and Make and Take Rainbarrel. (Optional $40). Deadline to order 6/21/13.
To register with a check, call 904-255-7450 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to request a registration form to be emailed to you. All optional make and take items must be pre-paid. If just attending the session, you can pay at the door, but must pre-register.
The sessions will include a working lunch break, so bring a sack lunch. We will provide water, tea and coffee.
