Camp Eayikes Fundraiser

Los Angeles, CA
Greetings everybody! We are crazy excited for the community to come together for a worthwhile cause! Under the philosophy that a small group of committed citizens can change the world, members of the Donuts have been putting in time connecting and building with high schoolers in their local communities and developing CAMP EAYIKES! Camp Eayikes is a summer arts/community service/mentorship camp for youth in LA/LB/OC.
Many of these young people don't have proper access to many of the same resources that the average high schooler receives daily. And depending on life circumstance, many are exposed to outside influences like gangs, drugs, and the lack of a proper family life. Yet in our time working with these young folks, we've been blown away by their motivation for success, the wisdom they've gleaned from their life experience, and hunger for mentors to help them in their journeys.
We are striving to expose, inspire, engage, inform, and empower these young folks through creative ArtLabs and expose them to the world around them through various LifeShops (finding your cause in life, food of the world, music studies). We want to provide a safe and open space for these future leaders, and will be offering this 3-day experience at no cost to them.
We believe in the community and the gifts of the amazing individuals that surround us. We believe even more in our collective power that when we come together we can not only impact and uplift these bright young folks' lives, but their families, schools, and communities as well. We have always envisioned The Donuts as being a large group of empowered citizens of the world, who come together to pay forward our blessings. We hope that you can join us in this and turn the vision into reality. So lets get together and make some positive change! The King King in Hollywood has so graciously offered to host us on July 6. We are going to have some amazing DJ acts, dancers, and an open-mic jam session facilitated by the Man-Eating Cats. 100% of the ticket proceeds will go directly to making this camp happen. 100%!
$20 DoorWe will also be selling some Donut and Eayikes tees to go towards the camp!
