Event description

Description

Each day brings new adventures and museum mischief as campers explore Thomas County history! For the 20th year, rising 3rd through rising 6th graders have the opportunity to travel through time and discover games, handicrafts, and activities from all eras of Red Hills history.

In addition to our traditional hands-on history-based activities, we will engage campers in new explorations of the community around us. We embrace the elements of S.T.E.A.H.M: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, History, and Math that can be found and applied in our own backyard about our community’s evolution.

Starting with the Native Americans and working ourr way up to the technology of the 20th-Century, we will explore resources at the Museum and the surrounding neighborhood. Campers will share what they have learned on the last day of camp with a performance open to family and friends!

June 5-9, 2017, 9am -4pm daily.

Registration includes snack daily and a camp shirt. Campers must provide their own lunch and are asked to wear clothes that can get dirty!
