Ever find yourself wondering what to do for entertainment besides opening up your computer for more screen time? Welcome to Camp Carpe Diem (CCD), where computers are rarely thought of, fun is your constant companion, and real people replace Zoom calls.
WHAT IS CAMP CARPE DIEM (CCD)?
In short, it's the Coolest Adult Camp Ever! And CCD 2023 in Montana is our third annual event and our third location hosting the event.
Camp Carpe Diem is a means to let go of your cell phones, computers, Zoom calls, job titles and professionalism to seek out what makes you grin, giggle and get giddy with excitement for all the things you enjoy or want to experience with people who have been there, done that.
Things like mountain biking, photography, beer tasting and brewery tours, jeeping, and more.
Camp Carpe Diem is a place to connect with fellow RVers, travelers, nomads, entrepreneurs and on-the-road workers. It’s a place to come together to explore your interests, find your tribe and create a community of like-minded people where personal connections are more important than WIFI connections.
A place where sticky s’mores hands, scraped up mountain biking knees, burnt BBQ’d fingertips, happy feet, revitalized taste buds and laughter-invigorated souls take over your world...if only for a long weekend.
THE HAPS AT CAMP CARPE DIEM
Prepare yourself for a long weekend of fun in Flathead Valley, Montana, surrounded by mountain peaks and Glacier National Park right in your backyard. Our host town is Kalispell, Montana, minutes from breweries, mountain biking/hiking trails, and stunning photo ops everywhere. Join us for the official dates of September 28 - October 1, 2023.
But you may want to book your camp site for time before and after. There's so much to do and so many people to do it with.
While the full agenda is not set yet, we are scheduling a variety of events led by people with experience in each topic, so that you can do exactly what you are meant to do at Camp Carpe Diem: explore your interests, find your tribe and build community and connections while enjoying yourself. In other words, seizing the day!
Possible activities to be planned for Camp Carpe Diem include, but are not limited to: local brewery tours and excursions, mountain biking clinics, mountain biking rides, Jeep tours, photography workshops, hiking, cooking, rig tours, chats on local history, RVing and travel lessons, social happy hours, community dinners complete with s’mores and more.
(NOTE: Campground reservations are not included with price of event registration.)
WHO ARE THE CAMP GUIDES?
Your camp guides for this exhilarating weekend are the owners of Living a Stout Life (LASL) and The Virtual Campground (TVC), all of whom are full-time RVers with great experiences and varied interests to share, along with skills to teach you all you need to know to enjoy the activities that are Camp Carpe Diem.
PRE AND POST CAMP CARPE DIEM FUN
Just because Camp hasn't started yet or it's done, doesn't mean the fun hasn't started nor is it over. The joys of traveling and working on the road mean that we can all gather together when we want.
Connect with others and keep the fun going for more together-time both before and after Camp Carpe Diem's official dates. This could mean staying an extra night or two at the campground, or it could mean heading off together to a boondocking site, another campground nearby, or traveling together to the next gorgeous spot down the road. If you need some guidance, we'll help you coordinate your pre and post-camp fun with other CCD campers.
Over the last few CCD events, attendees have shown up as soon as weeks prior and stayed weeks after. It's all up to you. While there will not be official events before and after, campers love to get together and many events such as potlucks, scenic drives, excursions into neighborhing towns, and many more activities all happen spur of the moment. You won't want to miss out on exploring all that the Flathead Valley has to offer.
SEIZE THE DAY! REGISTER NOW!
Do you feel that sense of urgency? You better, because we want to create connections, community and direction in your life and it’s a bit difficult to do that within a conference of 1,000 people.
Wait! First, this isn’t a conference! Second, we want to make this an intimate event so we can get to know each other. Which means, it will sell out, and you don’t want to miss out.
HOW TO REGISTER
Register now for early bird pricing of $209 per person (prices increase May 1, 2023). CCD campground reservations are not included in the price of event tickets. Campground reservations must be made separately.
WHERE TO STAY
Many of the events will be held on site at the official CCD location at Rocky Mountain Hi Campground. You are welcome to stay wherever you’d like; but if you want ALL the community, book your stay at Rocky Mountain Hi Campground.
Reservations for Rocky Mountain Hi for CCD and the 2023 season open up on January 2. Reserve your spot starting then by calling 800-968-5637 and mentioning Camp Carpe Diem. Rates for the official CCD event of September 28 - October 1 are $50/per night. For more specific information on the campground's reservation process and policies, click here.
There are no specific sites blocked for CCD attendees; however, your camp guides at TVC and LASL will be near the Pavilion (possibly sites 69 and 70 or near those sites). If you would like to be in that same area or want to have more of a chance at choosing a speciifc site, be sure to book your site sooner than later.
Click here for the site map at the campground.
REFUND POLICY & MORE
Refunds for CCD registration will be available if you cancel your participation at least 60 days prior to the event. From 30-59 days prior to the event, you will receive a 50% refund. Inside of 30 days, refunds are unavailable.
Please contact Rocky Mountain Hi Campground for details related to their refund policy and for any refunds from them. Your site reservation with Rocky Mountain Hi or any other campground is separate from your CCD registration.
Please note that your email will be shared with our partner sponsors. If you do not wish this to happen, please send a note to april@livingastoutlife.com.
ADDITIONAL CAMPING
There are several campgrounds and RV parks, and a few dispersed camping sites in and near Kalispell and the Flathead Valley. If you need assistance finding a place to stay outside of Rocky Mountain Hi, let us know; we’ll be happy to help.
