What can my child expect at “Camp Agape”?
Summer camp is an exciting adventure for young people. By being away from home and experiencing the thrills of God’s natural wonders, campers’ heightened senses make them more open than ever to learning—especially in the area of spiritual growth. Daily Bible study, prayer, and worship are a central part of every camper’s experience. Our theme this year is “The Greatest Love.” Our studies will help prepare our campers for life in an increasingly non-Christian environment. In addition to spiritual learning, the campers grow in self-confidence and social skills and learn about God’s creation. The retreat center, with its woods, water, and wildlife, becomes a “living theater” for dramatically experiencing the truths of the Bible. Campers meet new and old friends and have lots and lots of fun!
Our large facility enables our camps to be housed separately and have independent activities without interaction with the other camps, but still join together for activities such as worship. Activities are age-appropriate for each camp. These activities may include swimming, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, rock wall, zip line, challenge course, archery, four square, gaga ball, arts and crafts, drama, nature activities, cookouts, service projects, and campfires. Each cabin and cottage has a counselor and may also have a counselor aide.

They also get to do all of the evening activities that are reserved for adventure campers.
SENIOR INTERNS - $25 Deposit + $225.00 fee
Youth who are entering 12th grade or who have recently completed high school may want to have a hybrid camp experience. This camp experience will promote responsibility by allowing opportunities to be a camper and to be a counselor’s assistant. Senior Interns will enjoy everything Camp Agape has to offer, while also exploring the transition into leadership roles. Part of their day will be spent assisting the recreation team and younger campers, as well as preparing lunch and other responsibilities throughout the day. Another part of the day will be spent bonding with the Adventure campers doing camp activities such as archery, rock wall, canoeing, etc. The Senior Interns will eat their meals with their campers and stay at the campground and possibly the Cottages.
MORE ABOUT CAMP AGAPE
The week is packed with fun activities. We have campfires with S'mores, movie night, glow in the dark block party, camp cookout, Extreme Game Night/"Armageddon", Camp Agape Variety Show, and so much more.
Each year our campers make a craft that we bring to a local nursing home or veterans home. The campers learn songs and we travel to the care facilities to sing for the residents and visit with them. This is always a beautiful experience for both campers and residents.
