We meet every Sunday.
First and third Sundays, we meet to come together for 1 hour inside the Meeting House, for silent worship in the unprogrammed Quaker tradition. All are welcome. If, during the quiet time, you have a message that comes from a deep spiritual place, you are welcome to stand up and briefly share it. You are also welcome to sing, or recite a poem. If you are not comfortable sitting with us, you are welcome to stay out in our urban farm, sitting, pulling up weeds, cleaning up, walking around, dancing, whatever you are moved to do.
We also meet every 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays to serve a meal for anyone who would like it, in front of the CVS next to the Walter Rand Transportation Center. We meet at the Meeting House anytime after 10.00 am, with big pots of prepared rice, potatoes, beans, greens, hot tea, cold water, and after loading everything into cars, Meeting for Worship, gardening, and whatever anyone feels like doing, we walk or drive to the CVS at 12.15pm to start serving at 12.30pm. We generally have run out of food by 1pm, sometimes we have enough to feed 200, and are back at the Meeting House to clean, garden, chat until around 3pm.
When we have vegetables growing, you are welcome to take some home with you to prepare for our Sunday feasts, or for yourself.
