It's Stress Awareness Month in April!!! As a college student, stressors such as, balancing school, employment, being a caregiver, breaking generational trauma, maintaining a social life, and prioritizing any other role can be overwhelming for your mental health. It is important to understand how stress can affect you physically AND mentally so you can learn how to effectively manage stressful situations as you flourish as an adult.

Join Silence the Shame for a stress management seminar, Calming the Stress Response, on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, from 6-7:30 PM EST. This seminar gives participants a choice of tools and techniques to focus on the things in their lives that can minimize the risk of stress and enhance feelings of well-being.

This training is FREE and will occur in-person and live-streamed for online viewing. Register today to reserve your seat or your spot for the live stream! There will be door prizes, resources, and light refreshments for in-person participants!

By the end of the seminar, participants will be able to:

  1. Explain types of stress and the impact on the body
  2. Explore strategies to change the psychological response to stress
  3. Review self-help interventions and develop a self-care plan to improve your well-being
