Accepted Answer

Because if you are one of several people to donate $25, it will cover the ad costs for this event. If this event appeals to you, even (especially) if you can't attend, please share online (and tell somebody) to extend the reach.

Why am I doing this event now?

Accepted Answer

I have started and shared conversations about this (answering your call to act), in different ways, on many different occasions, over many years. Now, I'm called to bring this conversation to more people, beyond those I know and who already know me. To places distant from where I am or have been.

Am I currently a member of a church?

Accepted Answer

Yes, The Congregational Church of Christian Fellowship, Los Angeles, CA. https://www.christianfellowshipla.org.  Previously, I was a member (and a founding trustee) of Open Door Worship Center, Jersey City, NJ, and a member of Wellspring Worship Center, West Lebanon, NH.

An example of the way that I care

Accepted Answer

I came home to Los Angeles to be caregiver for my mother, for several years until she passed last year, holding back from personal and career desires, trusting that honoring her would somehow not mean forfeiting myself. It hasn't at all. Being able to care for my mom was and is a blessing.

Will there be further events like this planned?

Accepted Answer

Yes. This particular event and format, I expect to do again in the coming weeks, contingent on the level of interest and my schedule. I am also doing similar events on the theme of How to Make a Difference This Summer, which are fundamentally rooted in my organization science (not faith) experience.
