About this Event

The ladies of Call to Action Mental Health will be focused on addressing some of the most prevalent issues for Black Women today.

Microaggressions impact our lives at work, in education, in work and in most public spaces. Black women are often told that they are being too sensitive or unable to take a joke. Despite countless reasons for being angry, how the anger is handled may need some adjustment. Let's talk about how to cope with outside pressure in a healthy, proactive way.

More and more we must advocate for our loved ones and ourselves when mental illness is involved. Cuts in managed care, decreasing government funding and lack of public support often leaves caregivers to fend for themselves.

Our emotional and mental health are important factors that impact our ability to build and maintain a healthy, loving, lasting relationship with our mate. Marriages/relationships are impacted when there's a decline in mental health and an increase in mental health conditions. There are many ways to address these issues in your relationship.
