About this event

Get ready to go nuts at the California Nut Festival that returns to Durham (near Chico) on Saturday, September 25, 2021. Guests will spend the day sampling and savoring nut-inspired dishes by local restaurants, caterers and chefs and sipping local wine, beers, coffees and juices, while listening to local musicians on two stages and enjoying art and special activities. Event attendees will enjoy strolling through the historic Patrick Ranch Museum grounds, chatting with local farmers, shopping for local products, and learning about the equipment farmers use in nut farming and the important role agriculture plays in the North State. Everyone is also encouraged to tour the Glenwood Farmhouse and walk through the Master Gardener Demonstration Gardens to salute our local agriculture, history and the food we are proud to harvest.

A program of the Patrick Ranch Museum, the California Nut Festival provides much needed support for the historic Patrick Ranch Museum and is proudly presented by the Far West Heritage Association and sponsored by Tri Counties Bank, PG & E, Farmers' Circle members, dedicated local businesses and involved media partners.

Organizer Patrick Ranch Museum

Organizer of California Nut Festival

The Patrick Ranch Museum is dedicated to enhancing people’s understanding and appreciation of our community’s rich agricultural heritage through the presentation of its collection, rotating exhibits, and interpretive displays.

The Museum is home to the 1877 Glenwood Farmhouse, Visitor Center, and Gift Shop, as well as multiple barns, a priceless collection of artifacts, and is located on a beautiful 28 acres between Chico and Durham. The interior of the Glenwood Farmhouse is furnished with Hester Patrick’s furniture, antiques and artifacts. The Museum continues to evolve as we bring more of Hester Patrick’s collection to public view and receive additional exhibits and artifacts. Far West Heritage Association is steward of the Patrick Ranch Museum.
