California Concerto Festival for Amateur Pianists
Event Information
About this Event
Join us to hear 13 highly talented amateur pianists from across the US and Canada performing concerto movements with the California Concerto Orchestra. Conducted by Joseph Ordaz and Michael Giel, with guest faculty coaches Gwendolyn Mok and Igor Resnianski, these pianists will be performing works by Beethoven, Schumann, Mozart, Chopin, Scriabin, Prokofiev, and Tchaikovsky.
This is our 8th annual festival that culminates in this final Gala Performance with full symphony orchestra, made up of members from local orchestras. California Concerto Festival (formerly known as California Concerto Weekend) has offered amateur pianists over age 25 the unique opportunity to receive 4 days of coaching, master classes and rehearsals with world-renowned faculty.
