Description

Show Your Pride, Golden Bears!

Join the Cal Alumni Association (CAA) and show your pride as we march in the annual San Francisco Pride Parade on Sunday June 30, 2019!

CAA is partnering with UC Berkeley's Gender Equity Resource Center to lead a contingent of Cal alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends in the annual San Francisco Pride Parade. Everyone from across the LGBTQ spectrum and our allies are welcome to join us. 2019 also marks the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall uprising in New York City.

There is no cost to march in the parade, and the first 500 registered marchers to arrive at our meet-up location will receive a free commemorative Cal Pride t-shirt. Shirts are limited and will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.

We loved seeing almost a thousand friends from the Cal community turn out last year - and we want to see you again! This year we'll have more shirts in more sizes, music, and other fun giveaways.

About the Gender Equity Resource Center:

The Gender Equity Resource Center is Cal's community center serving the campus LGBTQ and women populations and addressing sexual/relationship violence and hate acts. Last year, GenEq Director Billy Curtis was honored as one of the 2018 SF Pride Parade Community Grand Marshals. Grand Marshals represent a mix of individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the LGBTQ+ communities. With the help of community input, Pride selected Billy in order to honor the work he has put into furthering the causes of LGBTQ+ people.
