CAHME Bootcamp will be led by:

Kevin D. Broom, PhD
Associate Professor of Health Policy and Management
Vice Chair for Education
Director, MHA and MHA/MBA Programs
Graduate School of Public Health, University of Pittsburgh

Pre-work, Introduction to CAHME Accreditation, Virtual Session

Topics include an introduction to CAHME and competency-based education, criteria overview, criteria that are the most challenging, candidacy process/timeline, and preparing for the site visit.

For attendees without an established knowledge of CAHME/competency assessment.

Session 1, March 22, 8:45am - 11:45am Bootcamp Basic Training
Topics include developing/refining statements of mission, vision, and goals/objectives that guide program design and assessment. (includes ticket to CAHME Awards Ceremony)

For attendees with a basic, intermediate, or advanced understanding of CAHME and competency assessment.

Session 2, March 22, 1:45pm - 5:00pm Bootcamp Advanced Training
Topics include implementing teaching and assessment tools aligned with competency-based education. Program management issues will also be covered. (includes ticket to CAHME Awards Ceremony)

For attendees with established knowledge of CAHME/competency assessment.

Competency Assessment Breakfast, March 22, 8am - 8:45am
Underwritten by Peregrine Academic Services, this competency assessment session will discuss the importance of student competency development and assessment, and highlight best practices and lessons learned from a number of CAHME accredited programs. Attendees will receive breakfast and a free compy of CAHME's White Paper. The session is free to anyone attending any of the bootcamps; $25.00 for all others.

On Campus Bootcamp

CAHME is also offering, for the first time, and on a very limited basis (only 3 slots between now and September 1, 2020) the ability to bring the boot camp to your campus. The cost for an on-campus bootcamp is $4,000 plus all travel expenses. These bootcamps are licensed to only one program/school, and may not be combined with other programs.
