Event description

Description

The program, Students at Museums in Philly (STAMP) Teen Council, and PhillyCAM partner with ACCESS Philly to co-create "Know Before You Go" videos for three museums shared by both programs. The "Know Before You Go" videos were written, filmed, and edited by members of the STAMP Teen Council. Each video shows the experience a user would have when attending these museums and are intended to make all users feel welcome, alleviate the unknowns of entering a new space, and to set the user up for a successful cultural experience in the museum. By attending this CAFE you will learn how this small (and often cheap) step will create a more inclusive environment for your institution, as well as help diversify your audience!

Cultural Accessibility Forum & Exchange (CAFE) is a dialogue series driven by Art-Reach. CAFE brings cultural organizations together with members of the disability and low-income communities to focus on improving cultural access for everyone. Click here to learn more about CAFE.
