Come and enjoy the beautiful wine country of Arizona with other hygienists for the 2nd Annual CADHA Wine Retreat and CE! During this overnight event, you will be inspired by the amazing education provided by our returning Keynote Speaker, Katrina Sanders, RDH, BSDH, M.Ed, RF and new this year will be Marianne Dryer, RDH, MEd and Danette Ocegueda RDH, MS from Philips Sonicare. Limited rooms are available, so a shared space will make this even more fun with your closest hygiene buddies! Please note prices on each ticket type that details the sleeping arrangement options. To save each attendee some finacial expenses, payment will be done separately thru Venmo and directions will be given in a separate email. THIS IS NOT A FREE EVENT. The cost has been dramatically defrayed as our event is generously sponsored by **. Attendees can receive up to 9 CEU's, be provided coach transportation roundtrip from Phoenix to Cottonwood, lunch, as well as touring 4 tasting rooms, and your overnight accomodations at the Iron Horse Inn or The Tavern Inn (based on availability.) Please register early (before 9/18/19) for this event. We are looking to make this event bigger and better than last year! **Each person to sign up for the event and advise via seperate email who you request for a roommate.**

No cancellations 30 days prior to event. All are encouraged to attend! No discounts given if you are not consuming at the tasting rooms. You can give your ticket to someone and make a new friend.

Attendees will ride one bus to event in Cottonwood and will return on the alternative bus back to Phoenix to receive presentations from either Katrina Sanders or Marianne Dryer. You will be advised which bus you are to start on. One coach will drive to The Tavern and the other will drive to The Iron Horse Inn where you can leave your bags until our rooms are available for check in.


  • Katrina is a graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry Division of Dental Hygiene and Northern Arizona University M.Ed Graduate Program in Educational Leadership. Her career includes over a decade of clinical dental hygiene in a variety of private, hospital, pediatric, periodontal and public health practices. She continues to refine her skills in laser therapy, local anesthesia delivery and the provision of care for special needs patients as a clinical dental hygienist in Phoenix, Arizona. Katrina also educates and performs periodontal procedures as the Clinical Liaison for AZPerio, the country's largest periodontal practice. Katrina’s professional career emerged as a faculty member for a dental hygiene career college in Phoenix, Arizona where she published three editions of her textbook, developed programmatic competencies, spearheaded curriculum design and served as a faculty representative for community partnerships. She is the founder and keynote speaker for Sanders Board Preparatory, Arizona's #1 dental hygiene board preparatory course. As a thought leader and passionately energetic international speaker, Katrina currently lectures as a key content expert in various areas of dentistry, the oral-systemic link and the provision of preventive dental care. She is also a columnist for Modern Hygienist, Today's RDH and Dentaltown. Known as the Dental WINEgenist, Katrina is a level 1 sommelier whose passion and knowledge of wine is infused throughout her coursework in tandem with her zest for dental hygiene.

  • Marianne Dryer is a dynamic speaker, educator and corporate consultant in curriculum development. She has lectured nationally and internationally on periodontal instrumentation with a focus on ultrasonic technique, risk assessment, infection prevention and radiology technique. Marianne’s experience in dentistry spans over 30 years. She is a graduate of Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists, Old Dominion University and received her Master’s in Education from St Joseph’s College of Maine. Marianne was the first year coordinator at Collin College in Dallas Texas for six years where she was selected for the Outstanding Faculty Award and was nominated for the Advisor of the Year. She has been a faculty member at Cape Cod Community College since 2007. Marianne is also a Periodontal Instrumentation Instructor for DH Methods of Education, Inc., an educational program for dental and dental hygiene faculty. She has been a strong advocate for introducing ultrasonic instrumentation into dental hygiene curriculums earlier and with more structured, foundational content.

  • Danette R. Ocegueda, RDH, MS, is the Professional Educator Manager-West for Philips Oral Healthcare and an adjunct clinical professor in the Department of Dental Hygiene at Sacramento City College.
