Event description
Do you have a passion for the outdoors and want to share it with the next generation of environmental stewards?

About this Event

The Cache Creek Conservancy is looking for individuals who are passionate about nature, our watershed, and guiding small groups of elementary school students through interactive, hands-on, inquiry-based stations during their field trips to the Nature Preserve. No previous education experience needed, just enthusiasm to share your love for the outdoors and inspire the next generation!

Join us during a volunteer orientation to discover how you can make a difference! Tuesday, February 18, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM or Saturday, March 1, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. Learn about the Conservancy, our "Experience the Creek" education program, and the history of the Cache Creek Nature Preserve. Tour key sites of the Nature Preserve and get up to date information about projects and programs. Outreach and Watershed Education Specialist, Mikayla Peterson, will demonstrate some “Experience the Creek” activity stations. The orientations will be held at the Cache Creek Nature Preserve, 34199 County Road 20, Woodland, CA 95695.

When you volunteer with the Cache Creek Conservancy you can share in the benefits of volunteering: reduce your stress, increase your physical health, find friends passionate about a common cause, enjoy the beautiful outdoors, help the environment and community, learn new skills, and gain personal gratification as you guide future generations of nature stewards!

See you outside soon!
