Trainer: Kimberley Castelluzzo, Field Representative ODB CACFP

This workshop is designed to provide valuable information and practical skills to child care educators who participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) in Kentucky.

During this workshop, participants will learn about the CACFP program and the guidelines and regulations that govern it. We will cover topics such as meal pattern requirements, menu planning, record-keeping, and best practices for ensuring that meals served to children are nutritious and well-balanced.

Participants will also have the opportunity to explore strategies for promoting healthy eating habits and encouraging children to try new foods. We will discuss ways to incorporate more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains into meals and snacks, as well as how to accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies. In addition, this workshop will provide practical tips for managing food costs and reducing waste.

By the end of this workshop, participants will have a thorough understanding of the CACFP program and the tools and knowledge needed to provide healthy, nutritious meals to the children in their care. They will also have the opportunity to network with other child care educators in Kentucky and share ideas and best practices for promoting healthy eating habits in their communities.

Join us for this informative and engaging workshop and take your CACFP participation to the next level!
