CABL are a self proclaimed “indie pop band put through a broken dishwasher”, a collection of twenty somethings steeped self contradiction. The foursome take sonic influence from bands such as Portishead, Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, Gilla Band and Just Mustard, then couple this with pop inspired yet often unconventional song writing. CABL’s music borrows just as much from DIIV as it does from Elliot Smith. They often deal with themes such as addiction, dysfunctional family situations and mental illness then surround these introspective ideas with carefully orchestrated noise, interesting harmony, and infectiously catchy melodies.  Through the deliberate juxtaposition of abrasive and ambient noise, CABL’s Debut single “What a Pop Song Sounds Like” Reflects the turbulent and fickle nature of dysfunctional relationships, both lyrically and musically.

From their debut show at a sold out Workmans Club supporting GURRIERS, CABL have since built up a reputation as one of the most exciting live acts in Dublin. This excitement has secured them an appearance in Vicar street and support slots with bands such as Ducks LTD, Robocobra Quartet and an Irish tour with Kynsy. Their mesmerising sold out headline show in Whelans was Dubbed by The Going Out Out Guide as "cacophony of blissful noise”, Focusing on creating one cohesive piece of music with instrumental interludes and Dynamic musicianship, as opposed to presenting their set as a collection of individual tracks.
