Spend the weekend among fellow young surveyors learning about the Mount Diablo Initial point. All meals will be provided and this event is FREE to young surveyors. Please register to reserve your spot because our capacity will be limited. Camping is currently only open to Young Surveyors due to size restrictions at the group camp site, however for young surveyors who wish to bring their family along you are welcome to attend Saturday for the day. ARRIVE: Friday June 17th in the evening to get settled in, pitch your tent and mingle with fellow Young Surveyors. The campsite is at the summit and is a group campsite called Barbecue Terrace. The coordinates the campsite are 37.8626149, -121.9360006.

SATURDAY ACTIVITES:

Breakfast will be served. Around 10:30-11am we will head from our group campsite to the top of the summit lower at where lot where meet up with members of the Mount Diablo Surveyors Historical Society and they will spend the afternoon teaching us about the history of the Mount Diablo Initial Point. There will be a presentation, a private tour of the initial point as well as a display of vintage equipment used during the time of setting the initial point. Dinner will be served at the camp and team building/networking activities will take place later that evening.

SUNDAY:

Breakfast again will be served. We know everyone is coming from various distances and don't have much planned on Sunday since some will need to leave early morning to make it home.
