Event description

Description

Ceilidh Fusion - Aberdeen's premier ceilidh band - lead an evening of fun, frivolity and dancing at Elphinstone Hall, University of Aberdeen.

Organised by the Coast to Coast (C2C) cycling group, the ceilidh will raise significant sums for local charities, including MND Scotland and is part of the fundraising for the 10th C2C challenge (details below).

Dress to dance and party!

Stovies are included in the ticket price and drinks will be available at the bar.

The cycling challenge that awaits...

Three days to travel from Skye back to Aberdeen with one purpose - to raise funds for four charities. There will be challenging climbs, fatigue and saddle sores, but all worth it for four deserving charities. The first selected charity is MND Scotland, which funds research and provides support for sufferers of Motor Neuron Disease. This disease may cause someone to lose the ability to walk, talk, eat, drink or breathe unaided and is of particular interest to the group, shortening the life of the group's good friend Ian Bowen.

Other local charities that will be supported are:

- Camphill School: life skills and bicycle workshop project for children with additional support needs

- Scottish Disability Sport: Disability Inclusion Training for teachers and Parasport days across Scotland

- Sue Ryder Dee View Court: appeal to expand the only specialist neurological centre in Scotland

- Aberdeen Association of Social Services 'VSA': development of an education centre at Easter Anguston Farm

Further donations will be welcomed on the night and can be given online.
