Description

Starting October 13, 2017, through December 15, 2017

Learn the fundamentals of C++, one of the world's most essential programming languages, with applications spanning from system software to video games. Participants will use the industry-standard Microsoft Visual Studio Express to create impressive projects during the program.

Students learn how to code in our C++ program with a fun, step-by-step approach that makes the principles behind code easily accessible even for those new to the subject. For students who do have prior experience, our graduated module curriculum allows for experimentation with more advanced college-level concepts including various algorithms and abstract data types. All students will graduate from this C++ programming course with a completed programming project or application.

Here the key learning values for them:

  1. Declare, initialize, and use variables

  2. Work with strings and characters

  3. Use mathematical algorithms

  4. Read user input and print output to the screen

  5. Manage the flow of a program with if and switch statements

  6. Use logic and code skills to solve programming challenges
