Description

This training is open to all Washburn University students, faculty, and staff.

Dates available:

9/12 or 9/26 from 4:00p - 4:50p

9/13, 9/20, or 9/27 from 11:00a - 11:50a

Men and women are potential bystanders or witnesses to risky behavior and can learn about the role of becoming an active bystander.

Bystander training provides skill development based on founding work by Jackson Katz, Alan Berkowitz, and John Foubert.

Bringing in the Bystander™ Learning Objectives

• Develop skills for safely intervening.

• Increase knowledge and awareness of scope and causes of sexual violence.

• Increase a sense of responsibility for creating change on WU campus.
