Byram Hills Class of 1981 50th Birthday
Saturday, June 8, 2013 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM (EDT)
Saturday, June 8th 2013 is within 6 months of the 50th BIrthday of most of our class members.
It's also one of the dates of the Armonk Lions club 39th annual fol-de-rol.
It's been 7 years since our 25th reunion. Let's get the class together for a cookout and party like it's 1981.
We're meeting up at Lombardi Park from 12 noon until 4:00 p.m. in Saturday, June 8th 2013. We've got Clark Field for 2 hours for you to relive those Little League glories or settle old scores.
This family-friendly event is open to members of our class, surrounding classes, their families, and, well, pretty much anyone who might enjoy catching up with members ot the class that some say was the best ever to graduate Byram Hills! Even if you transferred before graduation, if you came up with us and would like to renew those old ties, we'd love to see you!
To help cover the cost of the event, tickets for guests over 21 with Food, Beer and Wine included are $21.00. (This will also help defray the free tickets for any teachers that we can talk into attending).
Guests under 21 or non-drinking guests will pay only $12.50 for Food, Soft Drinks, and a chance to beat your parents at kickball.
Admission is Free for Faculty, Administrators, or other elementary through high school staff that ever taught or otherwise mentored members of the class that graduated Byram Hills High School in 1981.
If we get enough paying customers, we will make a passenger van (with a sober driver) available to shuttle partygoers on hourly tours of the old bus routes and neighborhoods, and to the fol-de-Rol and back. Fewer than 40 guests, and you'll have to drive yourselves!
When & Where
Byram Hills Class of 1981
Mostly born in 1963, this class barely remembers Richard Nixon or the first moon landing, but can name all six Brady kids. We grew up on Bubble Yum, Count Chocula, Happy Days, Jethro Tull, and Led Zeppelin. We attended Coman Hill, Bear Ridge, Wampus, and Whippoorwill elementary schools, and we know the "H" in "H.C. Crittenden" stands for "Harold".
We were jocks, preps, freaks, greasers and/or nerds, ran track, played lacrosse, football, soccer (before it was cool) and field hockey or just stayed after to hang out in the woods!
We each handed the principal a potato during graduation and hung out at Byram Lake, Windmill Club, and eventually, Par's, The Pink Elephant, Foley's, Michael's, the Country House going off to college or other endeavors. Now with over three decades gone since those days, it's time to reminisce and catch up!
