Event description

Description

Women are starting small businesses at a higher rate than men, and create jobs and earn business revenues above the national average. Join Geri Aglipay, Small Business Majority National Entrepreneurship Manager, and Roxanne Charles, Bethel New Life Director Strategic Initiatives, for a women’s roundtable discussion and presentation on policies that impact the economic security of women small business owners, especially women of color.

Women entrepreneurs’ engagement on policy issues informs decisionmakers and activates change that supports economic security for their businesses, their employees, their families and their local communities. This women-only roundtable will focus on topics and resources such as healthcare, fair lending, paid family and medical leave, affordable childcare and student debt.

Admission is no-cost and light refreshments will be served. Space is limited and for women only, so please RSVP to reserve your spot.

These roundtables are part of Small Business Majority's “BYOB—Be Your Own Boss” women’s entrepreneurship roundtable series in partnership with Bethel New Life. Roundtables will be on January 29 as a lunch roundtable (RSVP https://byobjan29.eventbrite.com) and on January 31 as an after-hours roundtable (RSVP https://jan31byob.eventbrite.com).
