BYLP presents CIVICS BOOTCAMP
BYLP’s CIVICS BOOTCAMP is a three day program for high school students (grades
9-12) that will provide an intensive hands-on opportunity to learn about state
& local government, civic engagement and advocacy.
Students who participate in BYLP’s CIVICS BOOTCAMP will gain a better understanding of the different branches, levels of government and practical knowledge of how state & local lawmaking works. In addition, this three day camp will enhance students’ ability to identify issues that impact their communities, formulate solutions, and learn how to organize & advocate for positive change. All students must REGISTER.

Who can participate in BYLP's CIVICS BOOTCAMP?
High School Students who have registered and are in grades 9 to 12 and have not graduated from high school as of July 1, 2016.
What if students begin the 9th grade September 2016?
Incoming high school freshman can participate in BYLP’s CIVICS BOOTCAMP.
Will transportation be provided to and from the Capitol?
No - students are responsible for getting themselves to and from the Capitol.
Will lunch be provided?
Yes - free lunch will be provided to all BYLP CIVICS BOOTCAMP participants who have registered.
Is there a cost to participate in BYLP’s CIVICS BOOTCAMP?
No - the program is free to all participants who have registered.
