Event description
Black Youth Leadership Project's hosts Celebration Weekend June 18-19, 2021

About this event

Celebration Weekend will include a prom and a Black Graduation Celebration that carves out time and space for Black students from various school districts to connect and celebrate together.

The Prom (open to all high school students) will bring to life an experience of the age-old tradition in a new fashion. Come have one last dance with your friends as we kick off the Weekend! The Black Graduation validates the accomplishments of Black students, presenting them before the community to be acknowledged for their perseverance and allows the community to come together in a display of love, unity, and support. In some cases, our graduation ceremony may be the only graduation that some of our students will participate in or be recognized for this important milestone. All are welcome!! This year we are also celebrating the babies promoting out of preschool, 6th and 8th grades as well. Get your FREE tickets today!!
