By Land and By Sea: The Bath Iron Works Story

Discover the unique story of Bath Iron Works by land, on the trolley, and by sea on the Museum's cruise boat.
This exclusive tour begins with an exhibit and video highlighting key elements of BIW's history and documents the process of constructing the most advanced ships in the world.
Board the trolley for a rolling tour past Bath Iron Works where your guide will detail the history of the yard, interpret the views and highlight key elements of the shipyard.
The trolley will drop you off to board the Museum's cruise boat, Merrymeeting for a one-hour cruise featuring spectacular views of modern shipbuilding and close-up views of Zumwalt and Arleigh Burke-class destroyers, as well as the historic Percy & Small Shipyard and two of the Kennebec River's lighthouses which help guide the vessels back to Bath.
Tickets are nonrefundable. This event is not recommended for children under 12 years of age. The tour is approximately 2.5 hours long.
