BWorks Earn-a-Bike is a free, hands-on class that teaches basic bicycle maintenance and safety

About this event

BWorks Earn-a-Bike is a free, hands-on class that teaches basic bicycle maintenance and safety while fostering important life skills including communication, teamwork, and responsibility to children ages 8-17. During Covid - we are moving this program online. After completing a consecutive series of 5 (~1 hour) online classes, participants earn a refurbished bicycle and brand new helmet.

This class will be for bikes of all sizes!

Dates for this session of EAB  are on 5 consecutive Saturdays, starting Sept. 11th - October 9th from 12pm - 1pm.

Logistically, there are three parts to the process.

1) Registration

a) Sign-up on Eventbrite

b) Read/Sign our On-Line Pledge and Release form, fill out Helmet info.

Students who do not have these forms filled out after 2 days of signing up will risk losing their spot in the class.

2) Take classes

a) Attend all and participate in online-classes.

3) Earn bicycle

a) Schedule a bicycle pick up (link will be sent after graduation).

b) Pick up a bicycle (at BWorks on 2414 Menard Ave) that your child has earned.

Requirements for course:

* EAB students must attend all classes to earn their bike. If students miss the first day of class, they will need to wait for enrollment in a later session.

* We request that a parent/guardian attend the first 20 minutes of the first day.

* Each family is limited to 2 registrants per session. * Students must be between the ages of 8-17
